Five-Layer Construction of the Hybrid Insulation Sheet

MaruCool Hybrid Insulation Sheet is manufactured as one sandwich thermal insulation sheet with five layers. The Air Bubble Insulation layers and the XLPE foam insulation material are combined in a fixed order, so the aluminium foil XLPE bubble insulation reaches site as one ready-to-fix layer.

  1. Outer aluminium foil – reflective outer face, designed to reflect radiant heat.
  2. First bubble layer – creates enclosed air pockets within the material.
  3. Central XLPE foam layer – the foam core adds a further thermal barrier inside the assembly.
  4. Second bubble layer – a second set of enclosed air pockets.
  5. Outer aluminium foil – reflective face on the opposite side, giving foil on both sides.

Because all five layers are supplied together, this double bubble XLPE insulation is installed as one integrated insulation layer. The result in a building also depends on the roof design, the air gap available and the fixing method used.
