Five-Layer Construction of the Hybrid Insulation Sheet
MaruCool Hybrid Insulation Sheet is manufactured as one sandwich thermal insulation sheet with five layers. The Air Bubble Insulation layers and the XLPE foam insulation material are combined in a fixed order, so the aluminium foil XLPE bubble insulation reaches site as one ready-to-fix layer.
- Outer aluminium foil – reflective outer face, designed to reflect radiant heat.
- First bubble layer – creates enclosed air pockets within the material.
- Central XLPE foam layer – the foam core adds a further thermal barrier inside the assembly.
- Second bubble layer – a second set of enclosed air pockets.
- Outer aluminium foil – reflective face on the opposite side, giving foil on both sides.
Because all five layers are supplied together, this double bubble XLPE insulation is installed as one integrated insulation layer. The result in a building also depends on the roof design, the air gap available and the fixing method used.

Why Choose the MaruCool Hybrid Insulation Sheet?
Combined Material Construction
Bubble insulation and XLPE foam are combined in one factory-made sheet, so the site team handles a single material instead of fixing two separate insulation products on the roof.
Double-Sided Reflective Surface
Aluminium foil is provided on both exterior faces, so a reflective surface faces the roof sheet as well as the inner side of the building assembly.
Multi-Layer Thermal Barrier
Two bubble layers and one central XLPE foam layer form a structured insulation assembly, with enclosed air pockets and a foam core inside the same 14 mm sheet.
Suitable for Building Envelopes
Designed for roof, ceiling, cladding and similar building-envelope work, subject to the project design, the space available and the fixing method approved for the structure.
Applications of XLPE Bubble Insulation Sheet
MaruCool supplies this reflective roof insulation sheet for industrial and commercial building envelopes:
- Industrial sheds and factory roofs
- Warehouses and storage buildings
- Poultry, dairy and livestock sheds
- Commercial and prefabricated buildings
- False ceilings and wall cladding
- New or existing metal-roof structures
The appropriate fixing method and insulation configuration depend on the roof design, available air space and project conditions. You can also review where MaruCool products are used across industries.

Is the Hybrid Insulation Sheet Right for Your Roof?
The correct roof heat insulation material depends on the roof type, whether the structure is new or existing, the space available for installation, the indoor heat conditions, the way the building is used and the insulation configuration required by the design. Send us these details and our team will confirm whether this 14 mm sheet suits your project or whether another MaruCool product is more suitable.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MaruCool Hybrid Insulation Sheet?
The MaruCool Hybrid Insulation Sheet, also described as an XLPE bubble insulation sheet, is a layered reflective insulation material. Aluminium foil is provided on both outer faces, two bubble layers sit inside the sheet, and an XLPE foam layer is placed at the centre. All layers are supplied together as one 14 mm sheet.
How is it different from regular bubble insulation?
Standard bubble insulation is made of foil and bubble layers only. This product adds a central XLPE foam layer between the two bubble layers, so a foam barrier and enclosed air pockets are present in the same sheet. Both material types are used, and the choice depends on the project requirement.
What is the thickness of MaruCool Hybrid Insulation?
The product has a nominal thickness of 14 mm. It is offered in one product configuration.
Where can the hybrid insulation sheet be used?
It is used for industrial roofs, warehouses, sheds, commercial and prefabricated buildings, agricultural structures, false ceilings and wall cladding, subject to the requirements and design of each project.
Can it be used on an existing metal roof?
Yes, it may be considered for existing metal-roof buildings. The fixing method, the roof profile and the installation space available below or above the roof sheet should be reviewed before the configuration is finalised. Our team can advise once these details are shared.
